Need to Install mobile Client 7.1

Hi,

I used the following URL to install the mobile client.

During the installation it was expecting "Netweaver CE" to be installed.

Please let me know whether i need to install CE.

Dear Vijay,

Check my article. Link can be got from Akhil's post. Please remove the MaxDB 7.6 installation. Let the NetWeaver Mobile Client install it. Refer my article for the same. NetWeaver Mobile client for desktop will not ask for NWDS CE, because there is no dependancy on the NWDS for the client.

Currently i am using NWDS Mobile client 7.10 SP2 since i was not able to get 7.1 on the NET

For this i had to install maxDB prior to the installation of mobile client. while installing mobile client(7.10) i had to select "SDBINST.exe"

After installation is successful, while the running the mobile client it is throwing error message "connection aborted".

if possible please share the url for the installation of mobile client 7.1 or else can i go for MAXDB 7.2 ???

can you please help me on this.

Dear Vijay,

I feelt is a JVM problem. Are you having multiple JVMs? If yes, then there can be registry corruptions which can lead to this . I advice you to use JDK/JRE 1.5.x. Also, you need not have Max DB installed to install the cient. You just need the setup and then point to Max DB 7.6 SDBINST.exe while installing the client.

After installation i was getting the error "connection aborted" but later on was able to resolve it since i did not start the C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Netweaver Mobile Client\startserver.bat before starting the Client.

you needs the CE 7.1 SR3 (trial)

Hi,

Thank you, i installed the NWDS CE7.1 as per the URL.

I was able to get Mobile client installation from service market place (NWSAClient 7.10 SP2)

can i use the above client for NWDS CE7.1 setup ???

I installed the MAX DB 7.6 prior to installation of Mobile client, while configuring mi client with MAX DB

i am getting authentication error messge.

Please let me know the relavant steps to configure mi client with MAXDB.
