Native HANA models migration to BW4HANA

Hi

We have Native HANA models(Calculation views) with roles and users in HANA studio in HANA1.0

We are moving these on to BW4HANA 2.0.

Is it possible to migrate Native HANA roles and users or do we have to build the roles from the scratch?

Native HANA roles looks different to BW4HANA roles so can we build/replicate them using PFCG in BW4HANA?

Any suggestion appreciated.

Hi

BW4HANA do have PFCG tool for roles, you can still use and execute SU25 steps to analyze the roles and authorizations. All the existing calculation views with roles can be imported and used in BW4HANA.

But AA-Analysis Authorizations you have to build from scrath.

Interesting question!

I understand that you created roles in hana 1.0 and you wish to transport these to hana 2.0 (it doesn't matter what's the layer on top, in your case BW4HANA)

as described in the note 2603665 "it should be no problem to transport (objects) from HANA 1.0 to HANA 2.0. "
