Hi all..

I have set up logon tickets..( EP 6 SP 14 and ECC 5.0).

my stack is..

evaluatelogon ticket suff

basic authentication optional

create logon ticket Suff.

then i downloaded the certificate from the j2ee engine and imported it to ABAP system (ECC 5.0).

add to acl and certificate list is done.

Now i m getting an error RFC_LOGON_FAILURE wrong user name / paswword please re enter.

I checked out for the cookie... mysapsso2.. its not there.

i doubt if its getting generated.

Please suggest something on this.

regards

Hi Ashutosh,

You can verify if the cookie has been created by typing in: javascript:alert(document.cookie) in the browser after you have been successfull loged on to the portal.

It should return a cookie like "mysapsso2"

You should also be aware that the user id must be exactly the same in both portal and back end system.

HI..

I am using ABAP data source confing, and trying sso on the same ABAP system. so no question of diff user ids.

I get an MYSAPSSO2 coockie alert.. so its generating cookies.. but then i m not able to understand why its failing to authenticate. it gives "RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE" name / password incorrect please re enter.

Please suggest.

Hi,

Try starting a SM50 trace in the backend system as described in note 701205.

This will give you a more detailed error message, which should help you solve the problem

Also make sure that the logon attribute of the ABAP system is set to logonticket

In transaction STRUSTSSO2,

when you import file from visual admin activity. You first "add to certificate list" and then you have to select another available option "add to ACl".

this will do the trick.
