Hi, I have a situation here. We have a multicube made on top of 4 cubes including Purchasing Orders. but when i run a query, I dont get any data from the purchasing cube, e.g. purchase order number and so on...all i see is #'s. I want to see data that is common to all the basic cubes involved. Can anyone help me in this??
Hi Farhan,
In the MultiProvider maintenance, please go to the Identifcation and Selection tabs and see if the objects from your purchasing cube have been checked.
Hope this helps...

Ok...so if you clicked the Identification button, it must have opened up a screen with characteristics, their name, and the InfoProvider the data wouldbe flowing from. First of all please see that the Chars from your purchasing cube (like purchase order number) have a checkmark against them).
There might be a couple of things with this situation actually (but look at this after you ahve seen the identification)
1. Check the base purchasing cube to see if has any data correspodning to the query definition that you are running.
2. You can also check to see if the query is not excluding this InfoProvider.
Bhanu, if you dont mind, could u guide me step by step...using the exact terminology used on the screen? as in which tabs to press and stuff cuz i'm getting confused. the path i'm following is Right click Multi Provider -- Click Change and then click InfoObjects. but it only shows the ones that have NOT been selected in the definition of the Multicube... Please help
no no..do this:
MultiProvider > Right CLick >Change > On the screen that comes up ( MultiProvider: Relevant MultiProviders), just click the green check mark. You do not need to visit any tabs here. Just FYI...as you mentioned that your MP is made up of 4 InfoCubes, on the first tab which is InfoCubes you would see a check mark against these 4 cubes.
Once you Okay this screen, the next is where you can actually see the MP definition, and further the buttons that I was talking about.
Hope this helps...
