MSS PCR modify help link

MSS 60.1 in PCRs on the actual change request form at the bottom right hand side there is a link

'For more information, click here'

that takes the user to www.sap.com. The docs don't describe how to config this to point to a useful help link.

Can anyone tell me how to config this or do I have to find the relevant JSP page in the package and hack it?

Thanks

J

what backend version (ECC) do you use?

I can't find the link you've mentioned. Is it <b>on</b> the pdf-form? then you can edit it with transaction SFP.

maybe these tables will help (the second one only in ECC6.0):

V_T7XSSSERSRV (Service Definitions): Entry MSS_HCM_PCR_NEWPCR

V_T7XSSSERLNK (Link Definitions): Entry HCM_MSS_PCR

Achim,

thanks for the reply. We are using the version of PCRs prior to adobe forms so its a JSP or HTMLB Dynpage generated form.

ah, I see, that's a bit more complex...

within your mss-businesspackage.zip file there are a lot of com.sap.pct.hcm.pcr_<name of pcr>.par files.

extract that .par you want to edit, rename it to .zip, open it again.

go to the profiles directory within this zip-file and edit the default.properties file. at the end are the "Guideline"-links

the tooltips text, etc. are in the com.sap.hcm.pcrutilities.par file

Achim,

Very good. I found it in the pcrutilities package about an hour ago by unzipping and searching through...

  1. Guidelines URL

GuidelinesURL.value=http://www.sap.com/

GuidelinesURL.description=GuidelinesDescription

GuidelinesURL.plainDescription=URL for Guidelines document

GuidelinesURL.personalization=no-dialog

I'll still give you points though don't worry...

Is there a way of configing the "GuidelinesURL.value" default.properties in the EP6. Seems a bit dirty to Z the whole business package just to change these strings.

Many THanks

Stu
