Hi all,
I have "a little" doubt.
I Have to Implement MSS BP6.01
on EP6 SP14
(so WebAS 6.40) and the Back-End system is an R3 4.7
For this, I need to set SLD(System Landscape Directory)
from http://<host_name>:<port>/sld link?
Thanks in advance
Dom
yes..you will have to create a system on SLD.
create a WEB AS ABAP system. then using this SLD system u will have to create Jco connections.
this link will be helpful for u

Hi Dom,
This is something I compiled from a load of different sources, let me know if you need more help.
1. Access the Web Dynpro Content Administrator.
http://<host>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcwdtools/explorer
2. Log on using the administration user for the J2EE server.
3. Create the required JCo connections or edit the existing ones. To do so, choose Maintain JCo Destinations.
A list of the JCo connetions for the metadata and those for the application data is displayed. Connections for various areas exist. The names of the connections start with SAP_R3_*.
If the software is already installed on the J2EE server, the Web Dynpro Content Administrator automatically recognizes which JCo connections are required.
These are the JCo connections that should be used:
SAP_R3_Financials
SAP_R3_Financials_MetaData
SAP_R3_HumanResources
SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData
SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics
SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaData
SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaDataFIN
SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenericsFIN
SAP_R3_Travel
SAP_R3_Travel_MetaData
With the Business Package for Employee Self-Service (ESS) and the Business Package for Manager Self-Service (MSS) you must also set up specific JCo connections.
a. Configure the JCo connection for the metadata:
i. In the Connection Type step, choose the Dictionary Meta Data option.
ii. Choose Security.
iii. In the Used Method field, enter the User/Password.
iv. Enter a user in the mySAP ERP system for which you have created for the metadata connection.
v. Enter the password for the user.
vi. Check the connection.
If the user only has the authorizations from the S_DDIC_MDI profile, the system issues the following error message when you check the connection:
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception:(104) RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: No RFC authorization for function group SSCV for user <your metadata user>.
This message does not mean that the specified user does not have the required authorizations for the metadata. It means that the users authorizations are not sufficient to test the connection.
b. Configure the JCo connection for the application data:
i. In the Connection Type step, choose the Application Data option.
ii. Choose Security.
iii. In the Used Method field, enter Ticket.
iv. Check the connection.
The system uses the administration user for the J2EE server with which you are logged on to check the authorizations. If this user does not exist in the SAP ECC system, the system issues the following error message when you check the connection: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: Unable to check the issuer of the SSO ticket.
Ohh sorry for the wrong link..must have been refering to someone else..
1. I doubt if u can use MSS 60.1 with 4.7
Web Dynpro is not supported by R/3 4.7
Please use MSS 50 for 4.7
u will need an external ITS for this.
In this case u dont need to configure SLD
2. If u are plannin to use ECC 5.0 then follow these steps to create a SLD.
Creating SLD.
In the browser type following url
give j2ee admin user id and password.
In landscapes, choose technical landscapes
Technical system type WEB AS ABAP then click New technical system
Select WEB AS ABAP
Give system ID, installation no and database server host.
Database server host is same as where u have installed database for EP.
Give message server parameters,
Host name, message server port (3600) , log on group public,
Central server host and instance no.
Then enter database details and u r thru with SLD creation
Now you have to configure SLD data supplier in j2ee engine
Go to /usr/sap/<instance>/JC00/j2ee/go.bat
This will launch J2ee Visual administrator
Maintain Host and Port. Save and restart server using MMC.
Additional step : Optional but recommended if u want to change web dynpro based ESS services.
Go to administration :
1. Choose Content u00A8 Import.
The browser displays the Import Selection screen.
2. Next to the Import File field, choose Browse.
3. To import the component information data, navigate to the following file:
<server>\usr\sap\<SAPSID>\SYS\global\sld\model\cr_content.zip
(MS Windows) and then choose Open.
Objects that already exist in the system are automatically overwritten.
4. Choose Import.
Ashutosh,
is not in this way properly.
The MSS 60.1.5 Package is not implemented with Web Dynpro but with HTMLB/Java technology and It's possible to utilize this with R3 4.7 as back-end system(EP6 SP 14
as front-end System).
Now, from documentation It's clair that I don't need to Set the SLD But I have make some configuration on create a System(from System Administration ->
System Configuration path...).
This last configuration is not clair from pachage
documentation, can you help me? ...
Thanks in advance
Dom
Ok, if u r using MSS 60.1.5, then u r right.
Its not a Web dynpro based solution.
But still 60.1.5 would need ITS.
This business package uses following Iview run time technologies
Java / HTMLB (WAS 6.20 and higher), IAC iView on ITS, URL iView on Websource, BW iView (BI Content 3.20 and higher)
PLease refer to the following link for configurations
http://kwhelp.sap.com/SAPIKS/S42cd11e6f274401389c264656d4ec401/KW/IWB_STRUCT8FCCE93A4295AC61E10000000A114084/IWB_EXTHLP8ACCE93A4295AC61E10000000A114084/?LANGUAGE=EN&RELEASE=60F&IWB_INDUSTRY=&IWB_COUNTRY=&TMP_IWB_TASK=DISPLAY
For system landscape...
please follow these steps
U have imported this 60.1.5 BP in portal
Now locate this BP in Portal content directory.
go to content admin -> content provided by sap
Since i have not used this BP. i dont know the exact path.
Find out where are the IViews in PCD for this BP.
Open the IView and look at properties.
Find out what is the system alias there..
U will have to create systems and create this alias for system
Now go to system admin - sys config - system landscape
create a folder named systems and in this folder create a R/3 load balancing system.
Give application host as ur R/3 Host, same gateway..
gateway service sapgw00 give client, port (must be 3200 or 3300 where 00 is system number of ur R/3 system)
select system type SAP_R3.
Now select WAS.. give host with port no, protocol http
and was path as sap/bc/sap/bsp for all BSP based applications.
Go to ITS and maintain ITS parameters
host, protocol http, path /scripts/wgate/
Now, go to use management property, set it to admin, user.
now create a system alias as u have seen in the iview in PCD and save.
for this alias, do the use mapping.
Now that u have created a system with WAS and ITS set.
U just have to find out which Iview is using which system alias.
List down all the aliases and create all and maintain user mapping for all.
Note : No where in the help for this business package, they have listed all the system aliases required for this BP.
So u will have to do the excercise to find out them.
open all iveiws from PCD and u can list down easily.
Please look at the following URL which gives attendace overview config
http://kwhelp.sap.com/SAPIKS/S42cd11e6f274401389c264656d4ec401/KW/IWB_STRUCT8FCCE93A4295AC61E10000000A114084/IWB_EXTHLP8ACCE93A4295AC61E10000000A114084/?LANGUAGE=EN&RELEASE=60F&IWB_INDUSTRY=&IWB_COUNTRY=&TMP_IWB_TASK=DISPLAY
here they are refering to SAP_R3_HumanResources system alias.
I will tell u one last thing
If u dont want to do the excercise of already defined system aliases, then create one alias SAP_R3_Human
Resources and use this alias in all the Iviews.
u wil have to edit iview and change property SystemIdentifier to the alias u have defined.

ashutosh
