Hi everyone,
I am currently building a dashboard that should display the moving/rolling averages for a measure in a line chart. I haven't yet decided whether I want to build the dashboard with lumira or the SAC. I would pick whatever does it better. I want to be able to display the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly moving averages for this measure. The moving averages should display one value per day, no matter which one (weekly, monthly, etc.) is displayed. For each day it should display the average value of the previous 7, 30, 90 or 360 days. There is a solution (link) that only seems to work with data imports or at least not with a BW query. However, I want to use a live connection to the BW system. I tried to create a calculated measure in the query to calculate the moving average, but I haven't gotten it to work yet.
Any help on how to calculate it would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Felix

Hi Felix,
This should be a breeze to implement is SAC, if use the dynamic date range filter functionality. First create calculated measure for your KPI if its not coming from source and create a page filter on the page with the calculated KPI using the date dimension, then set the dynamic date range to 7, 30, 90 and 360 days to date as multiple options to choose on your page. If you havent found a solution yet, hope this helps.

Hi Bolaji,
thank you for you answer. I tried to understand what you mean and how you would do it yesterday, but I haven't got it to work. In the last weeks I also talked about this topic to a few people and all of them told me that it is not possible in the SAC. They told me the only option would be to calculate it in the BW Provider beforehand. Are you sure that is should be possible with the SAC?
Best regards,
Felix
