Monitor Database parameter change

How to check if your requirement on Database Monitoring is able to be monitored by Solman System Monitoring or not?

For example: customer requirement is to monitor on "Database Parameter Change".

Check if there's standard metric available in System Monitoring Template. 

1. Spefify which type of your database system is. 
2. Tcode: SOLMAN_SETUP
3. Application Operations
4. System Monitoring
5. Step 4 Template Maintenance
6. Templates --> Database
7. Select the database type, for example "Oracle"
8. Tab Metrics, here lists all the standard metrics to be monitored. 

For example, there's no database parameter change related metrics available. In this way, you might need to refer to KBA ##2484872 to create your custom metrics. However, creating custom metrics might need the involvement of your development teams.
