Mobile Dashboard - Label + Bind to a color

Former Member

Hi,

I'm trying to apply a custom color of a label, depending on a value.

I try to use "bind to a color" with #FF0000 in the excel cell.

It works in Flash but not in the iPad version.

Any help ?

(i'm using Dashboard 4.1 SP1)

hi,

Apparently there is a bug in Label component in 4.1 Sp1. No matter what color you chose it always shows black in the mobile view. So maybe your logic is right & if its working in 4.0, i think that explains it.

May be someone else has a solution for that.

As a work around, you can enable the HTML formatting and use..

<font color = "red">Your text here</font>

This technique combined with some excel logic to make the color dynamic will work for the iPad mode.

Hi

Unless you need dynamic color changes you can find out the corresponding RGB code for your hex code and use that by going to More color instead of binding to cell. But if you are using any formula to using this cell or to update this cell then binding is your only option.

I downgrade to 4.0 SP5 and it's now OK.

Hi Arnaud,

Try using this format instead, it would work.

="(0,92,0)"

Thanks,

Hi Arnaud,

can you see the color when you preview in designer itself as mobile?

Thanks,

No. I see the color in the designer but not in preview mode.
