Missing sapj2eeclient.jar?

Former Member

We can no longer start Integration Repository in XI3.0. We get this error message:

Unable to load resource:

http://ourhost:port/rep/repository/sapj2eeclient.jar

I have tried to redeploy SAPJ2EECLIENT.SDA but that did not help.

This is the case both in SP10 and SP11! Any tips?

AD

Hi AD

Probably your jar file has got corrupted.

Check whether sapj2eeclient.jar is available in the specified path in server

Path => usr/sap/<SAPSID>/DVEBMGS<INSTANCE NUMBER>/j2ee/j2eeclient

Copy this sapj2eeclient.jar to the below mentioned path...

usr/sap/<SAP SID>/DVEBMGS<INSTANCE NUMBER>/j2ee/clustur/server<INSATNCE NUMBER>/apps/sap.com/com.sap.xi.repository/servlet_jsp/rep/roo/start/lib

Restart the server and launch your repository. This will solve your problem

Thank you for your help, but it didn't work. I still get HTTP error 404, which is page not found.

Hi AD

Now check in

usr/sap/<SAP SID>/DVEBMGS<INSTANCE NUMBER>/j2ee/clustur/server<INSATNCE NUMBER>/apps/sap.com/com.sap.xi.repository/servlet_jsp/rep/root/start/lib

whether there is a corrupted sapj2eeclient.jar is present. if yes delete it and copy the jar from the j2eeclient directory and paste it.

now restart the server...and try launching the repository.

it should work...as this solved the same problem here in our server.

Hi AD.

Well my suggestion will be strange but test it out.

We encountered the same problem when we updraded to new service pack. Some time due to network issues XI does not allow webstart to download files.

What u can do it try out with deffrent network (I am talking about internet connectivity). or if you are local then different machine.

It worked for us .

Thanx & regards

Hi,

I don't quite get that. At first you got a "Unable to download resource" error and now you are getting "HTTP 404". I think you changed something else in the meantime.

Did you redeploy the applications?

You misunderstand. "Unable to download resource" is the explenation/"friendly" text. The exception is a http error 404 file not found.

I have copied the sapj2eeclient.jar file as suggested, redployed Exchangerepository.sda and re-initilialized web start. Redeployed SAPJ2EECLIENT.SDA like described in note 831772. Now I get the JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by same certificate, which I think is a different matter. (I am on SP11).

Thanks for all the help!

Hi,

but the solution for that is easy. Just use the WebStart

"Re-Initialisation and force-signing". After that all signatures should identical.

AD,

Not sure if you also tried re-deploying the 'repository.sda' application. had a similar problem where this resolved the issue. worth a shot.

Is the sapj2eeclient.jar available in the path

usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS<Instance No.>\j2ee\j2eeclient???

Yes it is.

Hi,

just use the Admin-Pages on top of the start screen where

it says " Tools | Administration ...". And then go to

"WebStart Administration" and choose "Re-Initialization". After that your WebStart problems should be solved.
