Missing ADO.NET Data Sources in CR 2013

Hi.

I would really appreciate your help for this one.

I need to create an ADO.NET connection for a report.  This was previously there but it just disappeared (see screenshots below).

How do I get back the connection?

Could it be because of windows updates?

Thank you.

ADO.NET has a dependency on the 2.0->3.5 Framework.

Could be you are missing that.

What changed since when you used to see it?

I am on Win 10 and currently using v4.6.01586 Framework. Just a few days back, my connections were fine. And the next thing when I login, it disappeared.

Try repairing CR Designer and use Custom options and make sure the ADO.NET driver is checked on.

Could be your AV software is blocking access also, add crw32.exe to the trusted list of programs.

The only reason CR would not list DB drivers is because it can't find the Client or dependencies it requires to use them.

That driver also has a dependency on the VS 2005 C++ Security runtime redist package. maybe that got removed....
