Hello All
How does XI ensure message integrity? Can someone pls give me some info on this?
And, if XI goes down while processing a message, how does it ensure that the message doesnt get lost the next time it is restarted?
Thanks
Chandra
Integrity refers to the correctness of message in terms of routing and content of the message. In a normal scenario you can be assured that the message content is not lost somewhere in between during the entire flow of message through XI. Even in case of errors, there are known locations which could be used to trace the message.
if XI goes down while processing a message,
The messages are stored in XI at both integration engine level and adapter engine level. It therefore ensures that the server fails, the last stored entry could be used for further processing. You may opt for much better alert mechanism like CCMS to ensure proper notifications in case of such failures.
