I know this is problably just a detail that I'm missing but, I've created a workflow using visio, but the actions I declared in that worklow does not appear in the workflow tabs... I've set the workflow as active, but nothing happens
can you please help?
In order to see unlaunched workflow task on workflow tab, you need to select the table that has workflow enabled and select the records and add them to job. Then, you will see the workflow task as unlaunched. Also, please make sure that you login as the user who's supposed to receive the task. Otherwise, you can't see the workflow task.

To add one more point to Thomas's nice clarification,
1) when you define the workflow, you can define the triggers- the options are manual, record insert, record update, etc.
2) Say, you select record insert or update, and then you go and add records to the table on which you create the workflow.
3) If you are the same user who has to approve the next step of workflow, as soon as you switch to the workflow tab, you can actually see entries there waiting for your action.
4) Select the workflow entry, right click, and perform whatever is the next logical step in your flow.
