Hi,
We are implementing Ariba Strategic Sourcing, and we need to inntegrate Suppliers with SAP on HANA (not S4).
Recommendation is to use MDG-S. This requires to activate ate least the following Business Functions:
Two questions:
Does this require any licensing to the client?
Activating the BF's, will it change the supplier data as it is now, with the management being done via XK* and FK* and MK* transactions? Will we be obligated to use Business Partners or we will have to use it only if we configure it?
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Sérgio
No MDG license is required for using Data Replication Framework in an non MDG-context. Accordingly you do not need to switch on MDG Business Functions.

Markus

Hello,
If you are not going to Govern your Supplier master creation, then activation of MDG BF's are not required. And, only on S4 the Business Partner is mandatory, if you are using MDG on ERP, then you can work only with Supplier master.

Hi Senthil,
Thanks for your answer.
All I need is the DRF (Data Replication Framework) to replicate supplier data from ERP to Ariba. I do not need to manage data via MDG.
My problem is, I do not know if this activation will change the supplier data model immediately, since in order to have DRF, I need to activate these business functions.
Do you know if, once activated, we get the new data model?
Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards,
