MDG object structure /definition

hi all,

i am looking for the object structure in MDG for various modules.

say for material [what is the structure in mdg in terms of tables/columns/datatype/size/length etc].

where can i find this info?

any document is available for download?

i have the idoc template which i got when downloading RDS BODS jobs for earlier versions of bods many years ago.

but how to get these for MDG ?

any suggestion would help me. thanks.

Hi Swetha N,

Here's a presentation about the functional and domain coverage of the EAM solution extension.

If you co-deploy MDG for Material Data on the operational S/4 system, MDG would not cover the governance of BoM. BoM maintenance would be in the hands of S/4, but there are possibilities of linking material governance (MDG) and BoM maintenance (S/4) activities, see cmoment below.

question to MDG experts again:

1) should this custom extension from utopia be purchased or implemented on our own?

also costing/contact/duration/other information not provided if this need to be [or can be] purchased readily ?

i am more concerned of BOM object to make available in BOM for our client.

2) what i understood from the doc that support is also available from SAP if we face any issues with this extension, is it correct?

SAP Master Data Governance, enterprise asset management extension by Utopia (in short: MDG-EAM) is a solution extension offered by SAP. Technically it is an add-on to S/4HANA with its core MDG capabilities. It requires a separate license and can be found on SAP price list.

This is also the reason why support tickets will go through the known SAP support channel that is used for any other SAP product.
