If you are trying to view the contents of a cube without any selection criteria, the time taken for extracting the data and displaying it will be more. To avoid overload on the system, system timeouts any transaction after sometime.

To get an output quickly, you should

-     View the data with specific selections

-     View the data only for fields which are necessary and uncheck the other objects that are not required.

-     Also use DB aggregation at the end of the screen to see an aggregated output rather than seeing too many records and get confused.

Hi Murthy,

what ever u have is correct, but my infocube contains more 30 lakh records.

-->when i use DB aggregation & specific selection criteria also it showing the  same message.

Because of i have lot of records show it is yaking lot of to time to execute.

I want  to know if there is any possibility of increasing the runtime.

Thanks & regards

Hi

Do you want to see all the 30 lakh records? You can aso restrict the no.of records you want to see.

Else you can execute the selection in background and download the output to an excel file. As it will be a background job, it won't timeout. Only foreground jobs will be timedout.

You can contact basis to change the timeout settings.

what do you mean with execute the infocube? run a query or do a listcube? anyway, you need to restrict the data to show, so use selection criteria.
