Hi,
we tried to install the MaxDB ODBC driver maxdb-odbc-
setup-7_6_00_16.zip on a Win2k box.
Installation process seems to end successfully, but the driver is not been shown as data source (ODBC)?!
Hence not accessable.
Is there a known issue with Win2k?
Generally, it should be possible to connect as follows:
strConnection = "DRIVER=MaxDB;SERVER=SAPT11;UID=xxx;PWD=xxx;DATABASE=T11;"
Check in folder: C:\Program Files\SDB\ODBC
that odbcreg.exe can actually register the MaxDB driver.
If you get the error 'cannot find msvcr71.dll', get the file via Google and copy it to win/system32.
Re-install the MaxDB driver and you will see that driver has been registered under Admin Tools / ODBC.
