Master Data Changes Impact Analysis

Hi everyone,

I am working in Oil and Gas Industry where we are using SAP. I am looking for a sample of a document that explains the impact of master data changes to applications/interfaces. I need to develop a mapping that explains the types of master data changes (e.g., functional locations relabeling) and the impact of that change to the interfaces (e.g., Primavera P6).

If you have a template or example that you could share with me, or direct me to a link where I can find that information, it would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

This greatly depends on the implementation of the integration itself.

Specifically on the object and field mapping between SAP and Primavera P6.

For example:

SAP Functional Location is mapped to the Primavera EPS to be able to create the Project in the correct EPS.

If the mapping is based on the Functional Location ID and that ID is being changed, you will need to update the mapping with new Functional Location IDs.

Keep in mind that this would potentialy require Primavera P6 data cleanup or convertion to new SAP data.

Additional info about implementation would help in the further analysis.
