Making full loads in ODS

Former Member

Hello there,

I am having a problem in my project when loading an ODS.

Its a Z that was done to make full loads every week. It loads data into the ODS and after, if the load works well it makes another load into a cube deleting all the old requests.

2 weeks ago, due to a connection problem load failed. Till then, all the new loads fail because it tries to activate first the old one.

The old one is not in the ODS, we deleted it.

We need to load this weekend again and i think it will fail again.

My first idea was to change the status on that load and make a new one, will that works?

Thanks in advance

Ignacio

Hi Ignacio,

if you deleted the wrong (red) request, you can easily load what you want with no problem !

You can also activate the old ones, if you want...

You have to be sure that from a functional point of view you will have the right situation in your cube..that's all!

Hope it helps!

Bye,

Roberto

Hi Roberto,

Thanks for your answer.

The request was releted but when I tried to load the new one it tried to activate the old one and it dumps.

No problem about te cube because its deleted every time.

I think as you said that if the previous request is deleted next ones should work but they dont. Any ideas?

Thanks

Ignacio

Ignacio,

this is a very strange situation...could you give me message class and number of your error or dump details (to verify if there is some OSS notes...)

I think it should be some inconsistencies in system tables...

Hi Ignacio,

If I understood it correctly first you load into an ODS and then into a Cube (by deleting all the old requests). Does that mean this load into a cube a "full" load? Can you clarify that.

For the request you have deleted, was it red/yellow when you have deleted it? What's the error message you are getting when you are trying to activate the subsequent old request (from the short dumps).

Do you have all these requests available in PSA for this ODS? Post back this info.

Cheers,

Sree

Hi Roberto

The message class number is X and the dump details are:

Short text of error message:

Request 0000060704 in ODS PPOFI01 must have QM status green before it is

activated

Technical information about the message:

Message classe...... "RSM1 "

Number.............. 110

Variable 1.......... "0000060704 "

Variable 2.......... "PPOFI01 "

Variable 3.......... " "

Variable 4.......... " "

Variable 3.......... " "

Variable 4.......... " "

The request number 0000060704 is the wrong one, not the one that gives the dump.

In case that helps the line of the error is:

005270 loop at g_t_part_2100.

005280 if g_t_part_2100-status(3) <> icon_green_light(3).

005290 if g_t_part_2100-ods_err <> 'A'.

005300 if l_on = 'Y'.

005310 message i110(rsm1) with g_t_part_2100-partnr p_icube.

005320 p_subrc = 1.

005330 exit.

005340 else.

> message x110(rsm1) with g_t_part_2100-partnr p_icube.

005360 endif.

005370 endif.

005380 endif.

005390 endloop.

Hope you can help me with that.

Hi Sree,

yes, you are right. Each request deletes the old ones, it is a full load.

The deleted requests were in red, about the dumps are in Roberto´s answer.

There are 3 loads.

1st one, that is the one it is trying to activate has no data.

2nd one and 3rd one, are the ones that gaves me error when try to activate, so yes, they have data and data is the PSA and ODS as well.

Thanks for ur answer

Ok Ignacio,

try to find your old (deleted) request in the monitor and force the red traffic-light (even if already in red!)..then try again to load and activate your new request (do it manually!)

Hi Ignacio,

I believe Roberto's suggestion would do it.

Hi Roberto,

I did as you said.

But when i try to activate the request it gaves this message:

ODS Object Activation SID changed; from 65405 to 65406

Message no. RSM1491

Any more ideas?

Thanks again

Ok,

now we solved your first problem and another one comes up!

Anyway, look at

verify your master data situation...

Hope it helps!

Hi Ignacio,

Just an addition to Roberto's response. Can you manually change the QM status to red in the monitor for these two requests (requests 2, and 3) after ensuring that these requests are not updated to subsequent data targets.

Then, you can load these requests (request 2 and request 3) from PSA to ODS. Hopefully it should resolve it.

Cheers,

Sree

Roberto, you a re Great!!!

first of all, sorry for the delay answering but on friday i have to take a plane and just came back today to discover that load have fall again over the weekend.

That topic was helpful, but still have a little problem...

I runned RSRV and it founds a error in one of our Z infoobjects. It doesnt have master data neither text, only SID table.

I went to check it out and i saw that it has 2 registers, "R" and "E" but in this data load appears a new one, the "I" that was in the request. My surprise was bigger when I saw that this is not the first time an "I" register appear... it is already in the ODS.

The situation now,is that we have a red request (believe it, available for reporting^^) and we cannot delete it because it has this problem.

Also, when we try to make a new load it fails because it cannot activate that load.

Options that i have though...

1. To create the register "I" in the SID table manually... dont like it.

2. To add Texts to the infoobject and create a register in the infoobject manually, that should create it in the SID. Cleaner, but still dont like it...

Any more ideas?
