Make a connection from Database Studio to a Oracle instance database on remote Linux server

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a connection using Database Studio (on Window PC) to a Oracle instance database ( on remote Linux server). I have to active Xserver on Linux server.

The problem is I can't active Xserver using "startx" statement. When I type "startx" on Linux server, there is this error:

No devices to configure.  Configuration failed.

So, what do I have to do to solve this issue?

Or

any another way to connect to Oracle database server (server) using Database Studio (on client PC).

Hello David,

I am afraid it is not possible to monitor other databases using Database Studio other than MaxDB.

I understand that you plan to have single screen to monitor different databases. For this you may use dbacockpit. Details of configuration and support are provided in the links below.
