Macros used in Workbooks created in Excel 2007 don't get saved

Former Member

Hello guys,

I urgently need your help.

I have arrived to a new project, in that all workbooks were built in Excel 2003. The Workbooks when opened in Excel 2007 were to slow and Iu2019m creating them from scratch in Excel 2007.

All workbooks have macros, and I copied the source code from one Excel version to another. After saving all appears to be right.

The problem is that when I close and reopen the Workbook, all macros previously defined are gone.

Can you tell me what may be happening?

Thanks in advance,

João Arvanas

Hi,

I guess the root cause is the Excel file format of the file you save after you created the VBA code. In older times there was only the XLS file format. Excel 2007 now comes with new file formats. Some of them do not save the macro code.

Hello Joao...

First, ensure you are on the latest version of front end tools SAPGUI, BI 7.0 ADDONS, BI 3.x ADDONS.

You can find on: http://service.sap.com/swdc

Probably the issue will be solved.

If persist, let me know.

Thanks.
