Hi ALL,

When i run my webi report with month.cal in webi...the dates do not sort as they do in BEX.

it shows 12.2009 is greater than 01.2010. so i had to create a variable write a formula to fix this in webi.

but when user choses month .cal as a Report filter in webi report users see that the dates are not sorted properly.

How do i get this done.

Thanks

Hi,

This is because the period is being read as a string. One of the ways to get around this is to change the period to yyyy.mm then it would sort correctly.

Hope this helps

If this is a canned report apply a custom filter.

Apply a descending sort

 first priority sort varible=Year([Date])

Apply a ascendign sort on

 second priority sort varible=formatDate([Date];"mm")

Is this a local WebI filter or a universe filter (derived from a BEx variable)? WHich version of BOBJ do you use?
