Looking for JARS used in Connector Framework

Hi,

I have added the following jars

activation.jar,GenericConnector.jar,jta.jar,connectionService.jar,connection.jar,connectorservice_api.jar,connectorHelper.jar

But when i use the connectorgateway service it saying

This compilation unit indirectly references a missing type com.sapportals.portal.ivs.cg.ConnectionProperties(typically some required class file is referncing a type outside the classpath ,,, !)

Would be nice if someone could help me out !

Hi Bharathwaj,

You can find it in the portal_services_api_lib.jar

It is under

\usr\sap\<sys id>\jc00\j2ee\cluster\server0\bin\ext\com.sap.portal.services.api\portal_services_api_lib.jar

Hi.

The most important question is: which Stack are we talking about?

As far as I can remember, the class is in the com.sap.portal.ivs.internalconnector_api.jar in SP9.

Why don't you install the class locator plugin?

Hi,

Class Locator plugin will help only if i have the jar..

As a matter of fact i have the plugin !and i could not find the required file..

Thats why i was asking for the jar !:)..

I simply added the folder c:\usr\sap\<sid>\jc00\j2ee\cluster\server0 to my class locator settings. Then I can find all classes and jars available in the whole j2ee server...

Hey.. i cant share it or copy the whole folder.. otherwise i would have done it ! And i am not working directly in the server.. Anyways thanks for the answer..

Your jar worked ! thanks a ton !

Just 2 more questions !

I am getting a classcast exception ! I am surprised.. i checked.. they are not of the same instance !

IConnectorService service = (IConnectorService)PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(IConnectorService.KEY);

Plus.. in case if we are using a structure..

to get the structure.. they have used function.getParameter("").getStructure().. But i am not able to get getParameter for Ifunction type..

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Concerning the ClassCastException I would double-check the SharingReferenceS in your portalapp.xml.

Have you tried this:

Create an empty portal application(May be, by name LIBS) and add all jar files to it and then for each project u create add this project to the newly created project.

Remove all the external jars u added to ur project, now add LIBS..restart NDS...

It shud work...Give it a try!
