Hi,

When I open a query in BEx web Analyser, it shows perfect. But when i try to "Export to Excel" and open it, it pops up the logon screen asking for the User ID/password to that system.

But is I save the Excel (instead of opening it directly) on the local machine and then open it. It opens fine.

Please let me know, why am I unable to open the Excel dirctly.

BW version - BI 7.0

Excel version - 2003.

Hi Raj.

Our issue was that Internet Explorer was recognising SAP as an external site, which propmpted the repeated logon.

What I had to do was to TELL IE that our company was intranet not internet. Path:

Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Local Intranet -> Sites -> Advanced

Enter your company's site in the 'Add site to this zone' then Add, OK etc.

We entered *.ourcompany.com to identify any of our company's sites as intranet.

Hope this helps.

Did this fix your problem, Ankur?

I had the same problem, and it needed a different solution to the ones suggested by other people's replies.

If your query result contains any mime object (e.g. small triangle for hierarchy nodes), you need to set up anonymous logon to the mime service. Do a note search on "anonymous" and "mime".

As Ricksaid you need to Submit anonymous logon on MIME for getting rid of Logon, Check with Sapnote: 653099 for setting it.
