Log On Screen Modifications

I am working on EP6 SP2 - soon to be moving onto WAS640. I will be having some anonymous content in the anon login area. When the user clicks on the log on link in the portal tool area I want the log on screen to appear in the content area of the screen so that the portal masthead and nav areas are still visible. Is this possible?

You can refresh the whole page by using an URL Iview (same Iview you used for the login) pointing on a HTML file containing a bit of JavaScript like this:

<script LANGUAGE="JavaScript">

top.location.href='**enter URL**'

</script>

Sorry - forgot to ask - how do I redirect the Log In link to display the log in page in the content area and not as a new window?

Therefore I made a new link in my portal navigation for the anonymous user which points to this URL Iview I told you yesterday. Because I deactivated all the other Links in the header like "Login" or "Personalize" and created my own header to keep our corporate design.

Thanks for that - how do I set it to refresh?

Yes, this is possible. Therefore you have to create a new Iview (for example an URL Iview) and let the "Log On" Link point to that created Iview. So you are also able to create your own "Log on" Link in your navigationbar. This Iview can be shown where you like to, for example in the content area. Now it is important, an that is the point what differs from all the other Iviews with anonymous access, to set the Authentication Scheme to the required option (except anonymous or guest ;-). Having done this, the portal should now show the chosen authentication method before displaying your Iview ("uidpwdlogon" for the login Screen). Maybe it will help you to use an URL Iview which refreshes the whole page after the login, so that the new navigation will be loaded.
