AFAIK, for SA 10 and 11 installing an EBF has always copied that EBF's readme file to the SA main directory. So a SA 11.0.1 install might contain the following files in the %SQLANY11% dir:
After I have installed the first SA 12 EBF (12.0.0.2566) on several boxes, I don't notice the EBF readme anywhere.
Is this by design for SA 12? (If so, I would suggest to go back to the previous handling of these files.)
Request clarification before answering.
Thanks for reporting this problem. The issue is due to an oversight and is not by design. Future SA 12 EBFs will have this problem fixed.

Just to add:
When installing the new 12.0.0.2589 EBF for Windows, the readme file is installed locally, as Karim has announced.
However, it is named just "readme_ebf.html" - i.e. omitting the EBF name. Therefore it might be overwritten when a further EBF is applied.
IMHO, the previous convention for v10/v11 to include the EBF version in the EBF readme file (and then to "collect" the readme files for all installed EBFs) seems more useful - even though it is known that EBFs (and their readmes, too) are cumulative.

Volker,
Thanks for pointing out this change in behaviour. I have passed on your comments to the install team and will add a new comment once I have confirmation that this new behaviour is in fact the intended behaviour and not just an oversight.
