several customers got the error message "-109 Lob file dropped". How can this happen and even more important: is there a solution how to fix it? Once it happens, i cannot update a row in that table anymore.

do you see some errors in the knldiag.err file to the same time as -109 errors occur? Which MaxDB version is in use? Is it more than 7.6.00 B24?
i just updated to 7.6.03.15. The problem is still there.
The knldiag.err says no problem.
Is there any specific message concerning that problem?
The problem always occurs when i try to update a record with several long fields. But only if I try to change those long fields. When I update the record and theres no change in that fields, then I get no error.
what interface are you using for accessing the table containing the long columns? Is this a SAP software installation? (If yes, I would encourage you
to use the usual support channel for the problem - open an OSS message - instead of this forum).
