Hi J S,

If this IO used in different datatargets and aggregates u should run Attribute change run to get the latest data in the report.

What is the difference between "Attribute Change run" and "Activation of Master data".

Activation of MD, changes the version of the master data from M to A in P table. and let ur recent data available for reporting.

Attribute change run, let changes to master data (attributes and hierarchies) take place in all the data targets and Aggregates whereever this IO is used.

Dont forget to assign points if it helps...

Raki,

If I make changes to the attributes ( may be changed it from Numeric to Char or changed the length, etc) after the master data is loaded, then do I need to RUN ATTRIBUTE CHANGE?

How to Run the Attribute Change.

I am a rookie to BW so dont mind if its a simpler one

Hi,

For the first time no need to activate the master data.

When u made chages or add some records after that, then only u need to activate the MD to get latest data when reporting.
