Hi
I've built a dashboard which uses Live Office connections to read WebI documents stored on a Edge XI 3.0 server. I have configured the connections to refresh when loading and every 15 minutes.
Upon loading I get asked to authenticate to the server and the dashboard updates, however, every 15minutes following although the mouse icon changes to an hour glass the data does not change.
I don't get any error messages and if I close the dashboard and open it again it updates. The dashboard was written using Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 and is exported as a .swf and opened using Internet Explorer.
Any help would be appreciated.
Rob
If the WebI document isn't being refreshed then the data will be the same, is the WebI doc Scheduled? Are you pointing the LiveOffice at the original WebI Doc or the Latest Instance?

Hi Charles
Thanks for your help.
Just found that, what I'm really after is getting it to refresh every 15mins as I display this dashboard on a large screen in our office. It works fine using Xcelsius Workgroup 4.5 and setting the parameters of the Live Office connection button, is there a similar way in 2008?
Thanks
Rob
Hi Alan
Actually, no. I've just done some testing and it would seem that either whether I use refresh on load or by the button, the first time I refresh and get asked for my authentication details it works but following instances do not, but I don't get any error messages. It also seems to be the same whether I use Live Office to connect to a Webi or a Crystal Reports. So I presume it somehow relates to the authenication or something similar?
Many thanks for your help
Rob
Hi Rob,
I had the same exact issue although I was on XI 3.0, not Edge 3.0. The issue was resolved after I upgraded to Fix Pack 3. I would recommend upgrading to the most recent Fix Pack available for Edge 3.0 if you have not done so already.
