License expiration

We are currently in the process of moving from SYBASE SQL anywhere 17 to MSSQL. I was just informed that the license we are currently using for SYBASE expires OCT 1. Does anyone know what is going to happen when that license expires? We have already migrated the data in test, but we are just now getting the servers for our production environment and it is not looking like we will be cutover before the OCT.1 deadline. Just trying to prepare the customer for what might happen.

I guess the maintenance contract is expiring. Indeed the SQL Anywhere license does never expire.

SQL Anywhere 17 does not have a license expiry. Perhaps you mean that you are no renewing maintenance so access to support and patches will no longer be possible. If you do get to Oct 1 and encounter problems, you can likely use the developer edition if you do run into a license issue.

ok, this is what I was finding in most of my research, but figured I would ask. I used the dblic tool to view the license and did not see any dates listed. I will let the customer know they might need to enquire about an extended support contract. Thanks for the response
