Licence for Web AS 6.20 DB2 Edition from TechEd 2003

Hello,

I've written eMails to info@sap.com and linux@sap.com in the last weeks but get no anwser. At TechEd 2003 in Basel I've got Web AS 6.20 DB2 Edition from the IBM Booth. I've installed it sucessfully on SuSE Pro 8.1 it was rearly easy. Good work. But I can't get a evaluation licence because the Webpage

http://www.sap.com/solutions/netweaver/linux/eval/tor/

linked in the Install instructions returns only:

"We Are Unable to Locate the Page You Requested"

I've tried to use the Licence Key I get from:

http://www.sap.com/solutions/netweaver/linux/eval/was/

But this doesn't work also because the System name is WAS and not TOR.

Can you put the Registration Page online, please.

Best regards

Gregor

Hi Jamal,

yes. I've got this Reply from SAP LinuxLab Support <linux@sap.com>:

Yes you are right, this URL is switched off.

The reason for this is a technical error on the DVD caused by IBM.

I am sorry for this, but you will not get a license for that Evaluation

System.

If you are an SAP Customer, you can order SAP Systems for testing purposes

from your local SAP dealer.

The reason is, that IBM does not only packed the Basis components on the DVD, they also packed the Complete R/3 Enterprise 4.7 on it. Would be rearly nice to have such a evaluation system. It would be nice to try the SAP Cookbook wich I found yesterday:

Hi Jamal,

yes perhaps, if you ask your SAP Basis administrator. Or wait for the next evaluation. :-).

Hi All,

The Linux Lab is planning to have the next evaluation CD based on Web AS 6.40. It will be hopefully available at the end of he first or at the beginning of the second quarter 2004.

Best regards,

Karin
