Hi Guys,

I are trying to deploy Analytical apps for SFIN.

I have assigned frontend roles and HANA roles, Web dispatcher with HTTPS is setup.

Still unable to see the tiles in KPI Modeler.

Can you advise me what is missing?

Hi Raaj,

Please check the OData Services for Smart Business are activated in your Fiori Gateway. The services needed are:

/sap/opu/odata/SSB/SMART_BUSINESS_DESIGNTIME_SRV

/sap/opu/odata/SSB/SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME_SRV

You can do this in txn /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE.

Hi,

I cannot find these services in SICF or /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE

Hi Raaj

SICF is used to activate the ICF nodes.

/IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE is used to activate the OData Services.

These are 2 completely different things.

To find the OData Services - go to /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE, press the Add Service button, select your destination for your S/4HANA backend.  Search for any part of the service name e.g. *SMART*

Once you have found them activate them and then refresh your Fiori Launchpad.

You need to select a valid system alias.

That has been set up in txn SM59 and points to your S/4HANA backend system/client as a trusted destination.

Use the drop down on field System Alias.

Hi,

Yes this is the valid system alias and the connection test in SM59 is successful, also 'manage system aliases' is in place.

Is connection type 'H' correct which I created in SM59?

You would need to specify a system alias that uses an RFC Destination of Type 3.

Have you tried a connection of type 3?

You need different connection types for different purposes.

Here you are simply doing an RFC call to the S/4HANA backend - so you don't need a H type connection for that.

I tried with connection type '3' but SM59 test connection failing, for 'H' and 'G' type its succesful

If connection test for the type 3 destination is failing you would need to check and resolve this with help of your Basis team.
