Dispatcher status coming yellow & mesaage shows

also i couldn't manage to see Work processes.

Also tried upgrading in 2 areas

usr/sap/sid/sys/exe/uc/amd64 where this is basic.

when it never worked out .

2 way i tried

usr/sap/sid/sys/exe/uc/amd64 & also in

usr/sap/sid/instance/exe

but the result is same what could be the problem.

Hi all the issue is sorted out & not with the memory

The SID service is pointing to c:\windows\system32\sapstartsrv.exe

This exe was from from an old kernel copied newest version and it is

green ok now.

Thanx a lot kaushal for the timely

hi all I called OSS for my issue

****

Main issue seems to be with the instance profile. You have...

PHYS_MEMSIZE = 512

This would be parameter size for single stack Java.

For Abap it should be 70% of physical memory installed.

Please see note 88416 64 bit section

em/initial_size_MB should also be equal to PHYS_MEMSIZE

system containing 4 gb memory

& 23 gb SWAP any ideas to share & 2 insatnces running on this terminal

Hi,

Is your issued solved? if yes please close this thread.

check following notes also for sap memory management on 64 bit

Note 146289 - Parameter Recommendations for 64-Bit SAP Kernel

Note 153641 - Swap space requirement for R/3 64-bit kernel

HI,

check in windows service SAPSID_<instance_nr> sapstartsrv.exe executing from which folder.

did you extract kernel in both folder?

\usr\sap\MBQ\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64

and

\usr\sap\MBQ\DVEBMGS00\exe

if yes then open OSS call and wait for SAP reply

Hi kaushal finally wanted to call OSS but i got a small query from # 72248 .

If none of the proposed actions helps, attach the following

information to your OSS message.

- Ouptut of "lgtst.exe -S sapms<SID> -H <hostname_of_CI>"

(CI = central instance)

Pls explain this command with any generic names.

Im trying but getting syntax errors.

Warm Rgds,

Rahul

Hi,

first open command prompt

change directory to \usr\sap\MBQ\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64

now execute following

lgtst.exe -S sapmsMBQ -H hostname

where hostname = you sap system host name i think it is MBQLTY

Hi, I have the EXACT same symptoms after upgrading my kernel from 114 to 133. Systems seem to run fine, but disp+work.exe is yellow in SAPMMC and Status = "Running but Dialog Queue info unavailable". I have tried all the suggested fixes posted in this thread as well as the parameter changes per the SAP Note. I am wondering if this is a known issue with Kernel 133? Thanks, Julie

check if sapstartsrv.exe matches the disp+work.exe in DIR_EXECUTABLE folder by version and by date.

it must have the same version (133).

Hi all

I actually did a succesful upgrade from 75 to 114.

Now i upgraded from 114 to 133 & at the when disp+work gone yellow i actuallty followed what kaushal said

****####

stop SAP

close SAPMMC

stop SAPSID_00 service from windows services

now in command prompt locate your kernel.

execute sapstartsrv.exe

Provide all information

then start SAPSID_00 service

open SAPMMC

start SAP in SAPMMC ** #####

but never worked out & i rolled back to 114 but disp+work is still the same.

Now the current level kernel is 114

But the system is running fine & i succesfully upgraded SPAM/SAINT to 27 patch level.

Trying to get the Dispatcher status green with 114.

& get rid of this

DISP-yellow & status- Running but dialog queue info unavailable

Hope im clear & incase any information is required pls reply.

Cheers,

Rahul

Hi have upgraded to 133 actually.,

i set the parameter in start profile

DIR_EXECUTABLE = D:\usr\sap\SID\SYS\exe\uc\ntamd64

system is running fine

I even tried with latest

dw_157-20001354.sar disp+work package 157 Info 117408 21.04.2008

SAR tp_157-20001354.sar TP 157 Info 3350 23.04.2008

SAR R3trans_157-20001354.SAR R3TRANS 157 Info 2682 22.04.2008.

sapstartsrv.exe matches the disp+work.exe - 7000.133.14.21266

in run directory.

Still the status of Dispatcher is ---> Running but dialog queue info unavailable.

Hi,

what is the current kernel patch level on your sap system.

Does the system still start if you replace the new kernel with the old one? You might want to copy back that old kernel, bring the system back up, and double check the requirements for the new kernel. The log shows that an ABAP error is being generated and that may be from a missing requirement (i.e. a specific KB patch level).

Hope that helps.

Hi,

check Note 19466 - Downloading SAP kernel patches for applying kernel patch

try out folloiwng

stop SAP

close SAPMMC

stop SAP[SID]_00 service from windows services

now in command prompt locate your kernel.

execute sapstartsrv.exe

Provide all information

then start SAP[SID]_00 service

open SAPMMC

start SAP in SAPMMC

if still problem persists

read following note carefully
