Kernel Patch

Hello All,

I dont know how install a kernel patch.

Actually I was Exporting the database and I got the error and when I searched on it I got The Patch Level must be updated from present patch level.

Please Tell me how to install a kernel patch, I am in between the process.

provided how to install a 6.40 kernel :

Hi jitendra

First u hv to downlaod the kernel patch from service.sap.com. after downloading the file u have to extract the file. just go in this location there is a exe file in C:\usr\sap\NSP\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386\sapcar.exe

just copy this file in ur folder where u download the kernel file.

then go in command promt extract the file throug h sapcar.exe -xvf nd filename

the will will be extracted in the directory.

after that u hv to copy the extracted file on to that folder where kernel files are stored.

NOTE : Pls make a copy the olds kernel files, if any problem are created then u can restore the original files

Dear Jitender,

for updated your kernel,you needed the lastest version of your kernel. You can obtain it at SAPNET.

Rename all the files that you want update and copy the new ones.
