hi to all
i need to apply kernal patches.is the procedure for kernal upgrade and apllying kernal patches is same?
becoz i tried with the procedure of kernal upgrade but the system is not showing the the latest patch level' it is showing the same old patch which is 52, and i need to raise it to 133.

Yes,kernal upgradation and upgrade kernal patch level-both are same.
Procedure :-
a) Log on to the SAP Marketplace using an OSS ID with Administration rights u2013 http:
service.sap.com
b) Download->
SAP Support Packages->
My Companyu2019s Application Components->
SAP ERP->
SAP ERP 2006(depends upon which you used)->
Entry by Component->
SAP ECC Server->
SAP kernel (select your version)->
download the latest kernel from the marketplace,extract is using SAPCAR
c) stop your SAP system,SAPOSCOL and
d) then copy the files in the exe directory

refer to sap note 19466. Remember to take backup of existing directory before upgrading kernel. BTW, you can JSPM to do this.
