Job stay with the "Waiting" Status.

Hi,

I have a problem with the execution of a Job in cronacle.

A parent job call 2 jobs (by the submit function). When the 2 jobs have the status 'Completed' (the second job works during more than 2 hours) the parent job stay with the status 'Waiting' or 'Running'.

Do you know some reason of this kind of problem, and if there is a solution to resolve it?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Jean-Christophe

Hi Anton,

Thank you for your answer.

We have connected the ressource of this Job to the CPS repository host, and the statut has been updated correctly.

Hi Jean-Christophe,

What could be going on here is a timeout somewhere lowlevel on the network for connections that seem to be idle:

- does the job that waits run on the same host where the CPS repository database is running ?

- if not, are there any firewalls in between that may close apparently idle connections ?

- less likely, but similar timeouts could also exist on routers or in more complex networked environments (vlans etc.).

If such a timeout occurs, the job agent may never get the signal anymore that its childs are done.

Regards,

Anton.
