Hi!
Another problem with creating JCo-Connections: When I test the "established" JCo-Connection, the following Exception is thrown:
-
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception:
(102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION:
Connect to message server host failed Connect_PM TYPE=B MSHOST=platon GROUP=PUBLIC R3NAME=ET1 MSSERV=sapmsET1 PCS=1
ERROR service 'sapmsET1' unknown

RELEASE 640
COMPONENT NI (network interface)
VERSION 37 RC -3
MODULE ninti.c
LINE 501
DETAIL NiPGetServByName2: service 'sapmsET1' not found SYSTEM CALL getservbyname_r COUNTER 2
-
Before that I checked the SLD-Connection successfully.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Regards,
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
You have to make one entry sapmsET1 in services file for port mapping.
Write following line at the end of this file.
sapmsET1 36<instance number>/tcp
Then press enter and save this file.
Now, check again.

Bhavik

One little problem left:
I added the entry in SERVICES and another one for sapmsI07. The 1st connection workes fine, but testing the 2nd one says:
-
<i>com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102)
RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION:
Connect to message server host failed Connect_PM

MSHOST=plotin

ERROR service '?' unknown

One more little hint would be very appreciated. Thanks!

Thomas
Hi,
The problem could be with the messageserver details while adding the system in SLD.
please check "sapmsET1" exists ot not.Its not finding the msgserver with name "sapmsET1".
Please verify.
