Hi,

You will find current patch level in JSPM itself.

For more info, please read:

Hi Vinay,

To check the existing patch level of the Java Engine Goto the directory

\usr\sap\<sid>\DVEBMGS<instancenumber>\j2ee\cluster\server0\version.txt

this contains all the info about J2ee Engine

Reward points welcome

Hi Vinay,

Go to http://<host name>or<ip>:5<instancenumber>00

It will display a default page. Then go to system information.

It will ask for uid and password. If you have installed java

stack as add-in installation then give j2ee_admin as uid else

give administrator as uid. Then click on all components it will

show you all the components and there stack level.

You have to download the support packages through

maintanence optimizer. For java support packages you can

directly go from ur current pacth level to the recent one no need to apply the previous support packages.

You have to install java support packages through JSPM.

You can refer to sp stack installation guide at service market place which will guide you.

Reward points if helpfull.

Search for java sp stack in ‘entry by application-group’ inside the service market place. Extract the pack by typing the command in cmd prompt : jar –xvf <file name>.jar

Delete the existing file in trans/eps/in and copy the extracted java .exe files (java support packages stack) into it, which was downloaded from the service.sap.com into the system.

Start the database manager.

Start the mmc and check , whether the j2ee server is running or not.

Go to C:\usr\sap\AB8\DVEBMGS01\j2ee\JSPM

Click on go and apply support pack.

For error , see sap notes 891983 & 879289.

Awards point if helpful.
