Issues after Index Creation

Hi Experts,

     The index creation on the cube goes successful in process chain but We are facing problems after index creation on that CUBE.

Below is the error message which we got in transaction RSDDBIAMON2.

BIA server is overloaded "Number of Times Main Memory Was Unloaded in Last 24 Hours: '3263' "

After this, we have to manually delete the index creation and re create it, then it works fine. no ERROR.

Can anybody explain me what is the actually problem.

Hi Maxban,

I think you are using the delta indexes as well. In general you merge main index with delta index at month  end or at weekends.

In between these month end and weekend ,if you run the report on these Infocubes, BIA need to  sync both these main and delta to get the correct result. it could have  happen   your delta index  might be huge and  hence you might  have  got the  issue.

In general  you should have   50% free space available  for BIA to process  your query. Please check that too as well.

Thanks for your quick reply.

     This note is already available in the system and this report can only be used to check if the BIA server is overloaded or not.

Here we know that server is overloaded and we need to know why is it overloaded and how can we prevent it from happening.

SAP_BASIS    700    0022    SAPKB70022
