Issue with Custom BAPI

Former Member

Hi Friends,

I have a custom BAPI model that retrieves a list of events. The list is shown in a table and each row has a button. When the user clicks on this button a standard BAPI is called to perform some function that affects the current list of events being shown. I am calling the custom BAPI again to show the updated list after the standard BAPI call. But the iView remains in the same state. Its not reflecting the changes in R/3. To see the changes i have to reload (F5) the page and execute it. This is not the case with a standard BAPI. If i use a standard BAPI in place of the custom BAPI i get to see the changes in effect immediately. Why does this happen?

Thanks in advance.

Nathan.

Hi,

Yes I am calling invalidate after the custom BAPI call. It doesnt work.

Another piece of info that may help. I havent yet released the BAPIs as i may have to change these BAPIs. could it be the cause?

Thanks

Nathan.

Hi,

You mean to say tht, BAPI is in inactive state?

BAPI should always be ACTIVE state, then only proper result can be acheived.

Hi,

Probably there could be some parameter for bypassing buffer in function module...

Updation is not happening as FM is reading the data from buffer, if you by pass the buffer this will work.
