Our Hana based systems such as ECC/SRM/CRM are running well.

However, we cannot access the db using isql.

Find some oss notes and threads. But no fix so far.

Would you please have a look?

Thanks!

Dear Mike,

Just check if there is any port restriction on your HANA box.

I do not see any problem on ports, please check. Thanks!

Hi Mike,

As per your details in very first post, these seems to be two different issues:

1. iSQL Access issue with SYSTEM User

Please try resetting SYSTEM user account to fix this

HANA Tutorials: How to reset the HANA SYSTEM User password.

2. Hana DB Studio Connectivity (System Can not be reached).

Please check if you are providing correct details in studio for your hana db (servername, port). If you have any other user which can be used (apart from SYSTEM) for creating connection entry in studio.

Thanks,

MPS

Hi Mike,

Is your SYSTEM account password correct. Please see if you can reset the account and possibility of account being locked. You can verify this through parameter "password_lock_for_system_user" is true or false in indexserver.ini parameter file.

Thanks,

MPS

above parameter is set to false in the said ini file at two places .

Some threads discussed this.

But still fails.

Please help.  Thanks!!
