I want to display information about progress from a SQL script using the MESSAGE command. When I use DBISQLC.EXE the command
MESSAGE 'This is a client info' TYPE INFO TO CLIENT
will display the message in the statistics window.
But with Java-ISQL (DBISQL.EXE) I don't see any message.
Request clarification before answering.
I posted the same question to the sqlanywhere.general forum and didn't get something solid as an answer. I will try opening a case (but it's no crucial problem, so an answer may take time too). In the meantime I use DBISQLC, which displays the message (but has some downsides).
So I would like to do something like "close this question". Me thinks, accepting my own answer as "the one and only" would at least take my question out of the unanswered list.

Hi
In 11.0.0.1264 & 10.0.1.3931 dbisql I get the message in the Results window.
You don't by any chance have the Messages pane switched on (Options | Messages) and then have that minimized or hidden do you?
