Hi SAC Experts,

We are facing issues on SAC Live Model Prompt.

Steps: We are using Bex query and live model on Story and passing prompt on Fiscal Year/Period variable. Default value is current period. While selecting from F4 selection screen getting below error.

Error: The sub area access (Offset =0, Lang= &LEN GTH&) on data object of size 0, lies outwith the valid boundaries.

Is anyone encountered with same issue? Any solution for this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

The error message "The sub area access (Offset =0, Lang= &LENGTH&) on data object of size 0, lies outwith the valid boundaries" typically indicates a problem with the query or the prompt configuration.

Here are some potential solutions to try:

Verify the query and prompt configurations: Double-check that the query and prompt configurations are correct, and that they are pointing to the correct data sources and variables. Ensure that the query is working properly and returning the expected results before adding prompts.

Check the prompt settings: Ensure that the prompt settings are correct and that they are being applied correctly. Check the prompt settings for any issues such as incorrect default values, incorrect data type or formatting, or missing variables.

Clear the cache: Clear the cache for the story and data sources to ensure that any temporary data is cleared. Then try running the query again and see if the error persists.

Contact SAP Support: If none of the above solutions work, consider contacting SAP support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or insights into the issue.

By trying these steps, you may be able to resolve the issue and successfully run the Live Model Prompt in your SAC story.
