Is there a local HTML help available for 17.0.4?

Given that fact that DCX has switched the v17 documentation set from 17.0.0 to 17.0.4 some weeks ago (cf. Jack's comment here), I'd like to have an according local HTML help for Windows, if possible.

However, the HTML version available on the official SAP SQL Anywhere 17 Documentation Download page still leads to a 17.0.0 help (although marked as 17.0.0.1363 and therefore somewhat newer than the GA release 17.0.0.1062).

So I'm asking the title question:)

Volker: Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. There was an issue with the Windows files that has been fixed. You should now be able to download the 17.0.4 local PDF and HTML Help that matches the latest version on DCX.

A big thanks, I've immediately installed the fresh HTML Help doc set.

The installable download help is not maintained like DCX is. It remains the GA version.

From the product packaging perspective 17.0.4 is just an EBF/SP level of 17.0.0 (ie. not a release or maintenance version) and there will be no separate HTML version for that.

So the world moves on, DCX is the future... any chance that DCX will ... ever ... run ... faster ... than ... continental ... drift?

Nick, thanks for that answer - so I guess I'll better understand the "Xchange" in DCX now, and apparently the HTML help lacks that "X":)

Of course the treatment of 17.0.4 as a mere patch level (even not as a service pack) in contrast to the earlier maintenance releases like 12.0.1 or 9.0.2 (which had their own doc sets) is something I'll need some time to cope with:)

So I will primarily use the fast local help and will now and then check whether the online DCX pages have different contents. Not optimal but it's all right with me.

What interests me more is the mobile access. My device (iOS) doesn't scroll pages properly. The scrollbar always resets to the "home" position.

"the world moves on" ...yes, the Dark Tower reference was intentional 🙂
