Is there a better way to launch Excel Reports from Fiori Launchpad?

Hi all,

I'm working with customer using Analysis for Office and wants to use Fiori as their main point of entry. The customer can successfully launch excel reports from SAP GUI in S/4HANA 2021, however, when accessing the same report from SAP Fiori Launchpad’s User Menu in the App Finder, they get sent to a GUI for HTML TCode where they have to select an item and then trigger a download, from which then they can open the excel sheet but with some sort of destination warning/error. I saw that there is a “SAP Analysis for Microsoft Excel” Fiori app available in S/4HANA 2022 but sadly that won’t apply here. Is there any other solution available in S/4HANA 2021 for launching Excel Reports from Fiori Launchpad?

Hi,

You can convert the AFO reports as web Dynpro applications. This web Dynpro apps can directly open in fiori.

Look and feel will slightly change users can have option to view data both in excel and charts.

Syntax to convert any existing AFO report to Web Dynpro app

https://*server name*/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/fpm_bics_ovp?bsa_query=*AFO QUERY NAME*&sap-client=*client no*&sap-language=en#

Replace server name AFO query name. You can also create a tile for this app and share with the users to view data in FIORI.
