Is the live connector between SAC and BO impacted by the log4j vulnerability

I know business objects was not impacted and that SAC was patched (https://support.sap.com/content/dam/support/en_us/library/ssp/my-support/trust-center/sap-tc-01-5025.pdf). I also know that the import connector is not impacted but Im struggling to find information on the live connector.

Anyone know if this connector is impacted by the log4j vulnerability?

Thanks in advance,

Sven

My personal recommendation would be to

  1. Check out the most current version of the official communication on this topic
    https://support.sap.com/content/dam/support/en_us/library/ssp/my-support/trust-center/sap-tc-01-5025...
  2. For any product or component of a product that is not explicitly mentioned in the official communication, head over to the SAP Notes and do a quick search there. Some product teams have published SAP Notes on how log4j impacts their products. e.g. SAP BPT Cloud Connector is not mentioned in the official communication, but there is a SAP Note 3130868 available, stating it is not affected.
  3. Only if you did pass through the steps above and you are still unsure, maybe then open a meaningful support ticket. Personally, I try rather pull as much information as I can out of the available online resources - anticipating that our SAP Support and Development are freakishly busy right now.

Thank you for the recommendations. I know about the PDF but it doesn't say anything about the import or live connectors.

We did some internal research on the live connector and it looks like the live connector is not impacted as well.

Full answer from SAP about log4j and SAC. So no impact.
