Hi.
I would like to know if UCIA can also be used with S / 4HANA systems.
And if it can be used, I would like to know the difference from ATC.
Can Solution Manager's CDMC (SAP Custom Development Management Cockpit) UCIA (Upgrade change impact analysis) be used when upgrading from S / 4HANA1709 to S / 4HANA1909 or later?
Is this feature terminated up to ECC 6.0? Or is this feature available on S / 4HANA 1709 and later?
If this feature continues to be available, what is the difference from ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit)?
(Is ATC sufficient? Can UCIA investigate incompatibilities that ATC cannot confirm?
Is the research library used by UCIA the same as ATC (Simplification DB)?)
Regards,
Hiroshi
Hi hiroshi.iguchi2,
When doing an upgrade for S/4 On Prem to a higher release, we use the business process change analyzer for that purpose.
CDMC came way before S/4 existed and to my knowledge is not of any use for an S/4 upgrade
To get it right and avoid looking in tools separately, I would highly recommend you look into:
1. the S/4 Upgrade guide
https://help.sap.com/doc/760ce610a2af4174a329d2d8315378e2/1909.000/en-US/UPGR_OP1909.pdf
2. The custom code migration guide
3. The custom code management during an upgrade - Guide

Also, this recent blog gives you some perspective on Code adaptation for S/4

Hopefully that will shed a light 🙂
Cheers,
