Hi all,
Is there a way for SAP MDM to encrypt the data when it sends it to other SAP or Non-SAP systems?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Nhan,
Through MDM you can send data only in one of the following formats.
- XML
- TXT (csv, tab delimited or Delimited text)
There is no provision as of now to encrypt the master data when sending to the target systems.
The formats supported by MDM is for reducing the complexity and load on the landscape and provide the master data in the target systems acceptable formats.
You can use another system for encrption like XI/PI.
Hope It Helped
Thanks & Regards

Hi Nhan,
One of the use of encryption is to send data over unsecured internet. I think you cannot encrypt data directly using MDM.
Using MDM you can either export (syndicate) xml or text files and then you can make use of AS2 Adapter in SAP PI for encrypting data and then send this encrypted data to the SAP or Non-SAP Systems.
Thanks and Regards,
