Hello,
from what I can see, the answer is yes, but I haven't found an OSS note or anything which explicitly states it.
I would like to upgrade the kernel upfront during a different downtime window if possible, but want to make sure this is not affecting anything.
In the Info for the SAPEXE it lists 700 and 701 as supported that's why assume I can go ahead with this approach.
I am aware of the IGS requirements, but otherwise I didn't find any restrictions.
Thanks,
Ingrid
Hello Ingrid,
the SAP Kernel 7.01 is not released to be used within Systems based on SAP NetWeaver 7.00 technology. You may want to check the Product Availability Matrix e.g. for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 on the SAP Service Marketplace. I am very sure that for IBM i based systems this would not even easiliy be possible at the moment.
Best Regards,
Crhsitna Hölters,

SAP AG.
