Hi Experts,
Is it possible to release the transport request without releasing the task ? Ideally I know that it is not possible...
But I found one Customizing Transport request in released state and task in modifiable state !! could you please explain how it is possible ? and also please let me know in which table the transport release related logs are found I mean who has released the Transport request (here in my case I guess Transport request owner is different and the person who has released is different)
Regards,
Ravi

Hello Ravi,
no, it's not possible. However, you can manually release a request using tp commands (to 'force' a release) on the OS level and the requests can also be release by SAPup (during upgrades, for example, SPDD/SPAU). Another way would be to unlock request/tasks manually (again) - please check for something like this in SE03:
Request XXXXXXXX (owner ZZZZZZZZZ) unlocked by YYYYYYYYY
Another way would be to manipulate internal tables that control the status of request/tasks - I would recommend opening a message in SAP Support on this case, manipulating such tables (if this is the case, of course) is not supported.

I hope this helps.
